Podlesice is a picturesque village situated in the Eagle' Nests Landscape Park and the Jurassic Cycling Eagle's Trail.

Due to the location (large number of limestone cliffs) and dense network of the climbing roads, limestone hills and rock walls are a very pleasant place selected by climbers. Also karsts, caves (over 500), diverse plant communities and rare heat-loving invertebrate species attract wildlife enthusiasts. Additional attractions include medieval castles (Ogrodzieniec Castle, Fortresses in Mirow, Morsko, Bobolice and Smoleń - among others), smaller fortifications and palaces, strong monasteries and churches.
